Strengthening Community-based Surveillance Cadre Activeness through Interpersonal Communication and Module Development in Barru District

BACKGROUND: The low activity of community-based surveillance (CBS) cadres reflects the inadequate implementation CBS program. It can hinder program’s success.
 AIM: This study aimed to increase activeness through interpersonal communication and module development.
 METHODS: research was a quasi-experimental with non-randomized pre-test post-test control group design. study’s population all 48 CBS. They were not active in several subdistricts, including Tanete Riaja subdistrict, Barru Balusu Mallusetasi subdistrict. intervention sample 20 people scattered subdistricts Barru, Balusu, Mallusetasi, obtained by purposive sampling. Data analysis used Chi-square test.
 RESULTS: There are differences before after development, from 0% 65%. difference increasing development compared group, which only given (0.011).
 CONCLUSION: increased development. higher than intervention. is suggested that health office provides modules training cadres.
